Pickup from Tokyo or Yokohama (9:00 AM)

  • Your private vehicle and chauffeur will pick you up at your accommodation.

  • Enjoy a comfortable 1-hour ride to Kamakura with scenic views of the coast or countryside depending on the route.


Visit the Great Buddha of Kamakura (Kamakura Daibutsu) (10:00 AM – 11:00 AM)

  • Begin your day with a visit to Kōtoku-in, home of the iconic 13.35-meter-tall bronze Buddha.

  • Step inside the hollow statue for a unique perspective (optional).

  • Learn the history of Kamakura's role as a former capital during the Kamakura Shogunate.


Hase-dera Temple (11:00 AM – 11:45 AM)

  • Explore this stunning hillside temple known for its eleven-headed statue of Kannon, goddess of mercy.

  • Enjoy sweeping views of the ocean from the observation deck.

  • Wander through peaceful moss gardens, caves, and the hydrangea path (especially beautiful in early summer).


Komachi-dori Street (12:00 PM – 1:30 PM)

  • Head toward Komachi Street, Kamakura’s lively main shopping lane. Sample local treats: matcha soft serve, roasted rice crackers, shirasu croquettes, purple sweet potato snacks. Enjoy souvenir shopping: local handicrafts, handmade chopsticks, ceramics, and washi paper.


Tsurugaoka Hachimangū Shrine (1:30 PM – 2:15 PM)

  • Visit the most important Shinto shrine in Kamakura, founded in 1063.

  • Walk up the grand staircase, explore the shrine grounds, and enjoy the lotus ponds and torii gates.

  • Learn about the samurai origins of the shrine and its connection to the Minamoto clan.



Beach Walk or Café Break (2:30 PM – 3:00 PM)
