
Safety & Compliance Policy
Article 1: Scope of Application
Contracts for transportation services under our general passenger automobile transport business shall be governed by the provisions of these Terms of Carriage. Matters not specified herein shall be subject to applicable laws and regulations or general commercial practices.
2. If we agree to special terms that do not contradict the spirit of these Terms and applicable laws, such special terms shall take precedence over the relevant provisions herein.
Article 2: Instructions from Personnel
Passengers must comply with instructions issued by our drivers or other personnel in the course of their duties to ensure transport safety.
Article 3: Acceptance of Transportation
Users must ensure that all information provided to GoRide—whether submitted directly or on their behalf by someone else is complete and accurate. GoRide is not responsible for losses incurred by false or erroneous information on behalf of the user.
Article 4: Refusal of Transportation or Continuation Thereof
We may refuse to accept or continue transportation in any of the following cases:

The request is not made in accordance with these Terms of Carriage.

No appropriate equipment is available for the requested transport.

The requester demands special burdens beyond standard service.

The transport would violate laws, public order, or good morals.

Transportation is hindered by natural disasters or other unavoidable circumstances.

The passenger does not comply with actions taken by the driver under relevant transport regulations.

The passenger is carrying items prohibited under transport regulations.

The passenger is so intoxicated that they cannot clearly state their destination or walk without assistance.

The passenger is wearing unclean clothing likely to soil the vehicle.

The passenger is seriously ill and unaccompanied.

The passenger is suspected to have a Class I, II, or designated infectious disease (requiring hospitalization) under the Infectious Diseases Control Act, or a new infectious disease.
Article 4-2: Smoking Ban
In non-smoking vehicles (those clearly marked as such), passengers must refrain from smoking.
2. If a passenger smokes or attempts to smoke in a non-smoking vehicle, the driver may request them to stop. If the passenger refuses, transportation may be refused or discontinued.
Article 5: Fares and Charges
The fares and charges we collect shall comply with those authorized or filed with the local transportation bureau as of the time of boarding.
Article 6: Payment of Fares and Charges
We may require payment of fares and charges at the time of online or telephone reservation.
Article 7: Liability to Passengers
We shall be liable for damages if a passenger suffers bodily harm or loss of life due to the operation of our vehicle. However, this does not apply if we and our personnel can prove that due care was taken, that the harm was due to a third party’s intent or negligence, or that the vehicle had no structural or mechanical defects.
2.Our liability to passengers under the preceding paragraph begins upon boarding and ends upon disembarkation.
Article 8: Liability for Other Damages
We shall also be liable for other damages suffered by the passenger in relation to transportation, unless we or our personnel can prove due care was exercised.
Article 9: Suspension Due to Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for damages suffered by passengers if we are forced to temporarily suspend operations or take other measures due to natural disasters or other reasons not attributable to us.
Article 10: Passenger Responsibility
If we incur damage due to the passenger’s intent, negligence, or failure to comply with laws or these Terms, we may claim compensation for the resulting loss.
