🗓️ Day 1: Secluded Hot Spring Wonderland
9:00 AM – Pickup from Tokyo or Maebashi/Takasaki.
Drive into the scenic mountain region of Minakami
12:00 PM – Arrival at Takaragawa Onsen
Check into a heritage ryokan with large riverside mixed-gender outdoor bath.
Change into provided yukata and settle into your traditional room
2:00 PM – Hot Spring Immersion
Relax in some of Japan’s largest open-air baths beside a roaring mountain river.
Warm drinks or yuzu tea served post-bath
Optional activities:
Snowshoeing (winter)
Firefly viewing (summer)
Visit Doai Station, the deepest train station in Japan
6:30 PM – Dinner by the Hearth
Featuring wild mountain vegetables, local game (boar, duck), or trout
Cooked in traditional irori (sunken hearth) style.
8:00 PM – Night Bath & Stargazing
The snow-covered open-air bath glows softly by lantern light in winter
🗓️ Day 2: Sunrise and Farewell
7:30 AM – Morning Bath & Forest Sounds
Enjoy a final dip in the pool whilst enjoying the sounds of nature
8:00 AM – Traditional breakfast
Fresh tofu, miso soup, seasonal fruits, and hot tea.
9:30 AM – Cooldown Town
Walk along the river or relax in your room.
11:00 AM – Check-out and return transfer.
